Antique Rub-Off leather is finished to create the darker and lighter areas associated with traditional Chesterfield furniture. The result is a rich, aged appearance with visible tonal variation that helps buttons, pleats and hand-finished details stand out beautifully.

Antique rub off leathers

Antiques

Fine corrected grain leather with an antique top coat. After the furniture has been upholstered this top coat can be rubbed off in areas to reveal the lighter colour beneath thus giving an aged appearance. A topcoat seal can then be applied or the leather can age with use revealing more of the base coat.
